Candida Candidiasis
Thrush, the most well known form of candidiasis, is a yeast infection impacting on mainly the female genital organs. It is rare, though not out of the question, for men to contract the disease. But yeast infections are not restricted to either sex, they just impact on certain areas of the human anatomy.
It appears in laboratory-cultured agar plates as large, round colonies colored white, cream or whitish-gray. One of its most famous (or pretty notorious) Yeast infections in mankind are induced by a variety of species, one being the species Candida albicans.
